Over the past two decades, my career has spanned multiple fields and areas of interest. This has given me a breadth of knowledge and experience across a number of different areas -- and I enjoy sharing it with others.

I’ve learned that when you get a group of passionate people together, sometimes we can get so caught up in the allure of ideas that we never actually make it to point of making s*@#t happen. But that’s my goal - so it’s important that people understand who I work with, how I work with them, and the value of our time together.

No organization is too large or too small. Whether you're a startup founder, a manager wrestling with the heightened complexity of a large corporation, or somewhere in between, I'm always excited to team up and solve hard problems. Getting to know people and problems is what lights me up.

Early-stage startups - I’m a great thought partner to navigate the challenging and emotional sticky middle of startup life.

Organizational change managers - Change management inside large and small organizations is challenging but rewarding work. I’ve been through it and have the scars and healed wounds to prove it.

Communications / Media Initiatives - I specialize in helping both individuals and companies who are building new media products, channels, or content.

Individuals in career transition - Personal change management is hard. But it can be less hard with someone in your corner. I’m a good teacher, challenger, and motivator to individuals who are looking to navigate the next stage of their career.

Compensation is Respect

Inviting open and honest conversations about compensation are one of the highest forms of respect. So, don't be afraid to let me know what your budget is and what fair compensation looks like to you. I set my rate based on my experience and number of ongoing commitments. That being said, there are a lot of ways to exchange value, so don't hesitate to ask about getting creative. Talking about money doesn't have to be awkward. In fact, negotiations can be fun!

Leading a workshop in Bangkok, Thailand.

I’m motivated to share my experiences and my skills as a moderator and convener as a way to empower others to achieve their dreams.

That's why I regularly deliver talks that inspire groups of people who are doing great work in service of a higher goal. I also moderate conversations regularly -- from fireside chats to group conversations. I work with organizers to design each engagement to fit the audience.

Giving a talk during my days working with the Stanford d.school.

My career has called on me to navigate as an individual contributor and as a team leader. I've also gone out on my own for a time as a consultant and have launched two LLCs. This diverse range of experience has taught me valuable lessons about how to go from talking about doing great things to taking that first step and actually doing them.

Advise

Advising a group of aspiring entrepreneurs in Bangkok, Thailand.

I am often called on to advise individuals and groups as they navigate difficult decisions. That includes work on two non-profit boards. I am also an investor who offers dollars, advice, and sweat equity. I also advise young people frequently on how to navigate their education and careers. My advisory work is rooted in a deep belief in the power of social networks to unlock doors to opportunity.
